IMAX theater to open in Saco
A New Hampshire company is planning to open Maine's first IMAX theater in Saco next fall.
Zyacorp Co., which operates three movie theaters in Maine, on Tuesday said it would seek city approval to build an IMAX theater at its existing Saco location by Thanksgiving 2008. The company chose Saco because it's close to Maine's population centers, Cumberland and York counties.
The Manchester-based company has chosen Sebago Technics of Westbrook as project engineer. Bob Collins, marketing director for Zyacorp, would not disclose the price of the development.
