Inc. magazine included 13 Maine companies in its list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America. Of those, the Portland-based Vets First Choice ranked highest, landing at the list’s 25th spot for its reported three-year revenue growth of 8,585%. The company reported revenues of $14.6 million last year.
The wholesale electricity company Provider Power, which operates out of Auburn as Electricity Maine, landed at the 33rd spot on the magazine’s list, with reported three-year growth of 7,224%, bringing the company to $56.8 million in revenue last year.
The other companies that made the list are the Portland-based digital gift card firm CashStar, Auburn-based outpatient therapy and case management firm Health Affiliates Maine, Portland-based IT service provider Tilson Technology, Lewiston-based telemarketing and social media firm Argo Marketing Group, Portland-based marketing and brand management firm KPI Direct, Portland-based pet pharmaceutical company Putney, Bar Mills-based IT provider ITS, Portland-based IT and software development firm Winxnet, Portland-based data security firm Sage Data Security, Whiting-based seafood processor Bar Harbor Foods and Portland-based data management firm Mailings Unlimited.
