iVantage acquires Professional Data Services

The Portland-based business intelligence firm iVantage Health Analytics has acquired Professional Data Services, a Baltimore company that provides analytical software to help hospitals optimize revenue, for an undisclosed price.

According to a press release from SC&H Capital, the financial adviser for the deal, iVantage will incorporate the Baltimore company’s business intelligence tools into its offerings to hospitals.

iVantage was formed in 2011 through the merger of four separate health care information businesses and this year raised $10.9 million through a Series A equity offering. Company co-founder John Morrow told Mainebiz in June that the investment would support the national growth of the company’s sales staff. Morrow said then that the company planned to double its 60-person staff in the coming year.
