Woodman Edmands Danylik Austin Smith & Jacques, P.A. has changed its name to Woodman Edmands to attract younger lawyers and position the firm for future growth.
Since Biddeford has become more up-and-coming over the last few years, Woodman Edmands has decided to rebrand to attract more up-and-coming attorneys to the firm, said Managing Partner Harry Center.
“As we chart a course for future growth, this move to simplify makes sense,” said Center. “The firm has been a mainstay on Main Street for decades and ‘Woodman Edmands’ is what folks call us already.”
The firm added several new attorneys over the past few months when real estate attorney Rick Hull merged his practice with Woodman Edmands and attorneys Jayden Walton and Kaleigh Gorman joined. Walton focuses her practice on real estate, business and estate planning, while keys in on family law, civil litigation and estate planning.
The firm, founded in 1985, is at 234 Main St. in Biddeford. It has a roster of nine lawyers.
“We’re very pleased and will continue to add more talent," Center said. "Not only are Biddeford and the surrounding communities growing rapidly, but they’re also growing younger. Increased local demand for commercial and personal legal counsel, especially for younger residents, is a logical result.”
