Kennebec Savings Bank has promoted Marco Stigling to vice president and residential lending manager.
Stigling will be responsible for leading operations in residential mortgage lending, focusing on efficient mortgage origination, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving growth in the residential lending portfolio.
Stigling will oversee a team of nine lenders across central Maine.
"Kennebec Savings Bank has always had a mission to help borrowers obtain suitable financing and achieve their homeownership aspirations," said Stigling. "I am excited to be part of a company that leads the way in this market and stands firmly by its customers."
He joined the bank in October 2021 as a residential and consumer lender. His leadership and expertise quickly earned him a promotion to residential and consumer lending manager in February 2022. At the beginning of 2023, he was named assistant vice president.
"We are thrilled to recognize Marco's outstanding contributions and leadership as he is promoted to vice president and residential lending manager," said Michelle Labonte, senior vice president and senior residential lender.
"Marco's dedication, expertise and strategic vision have been instrumental in advancing our residential lending efforts and strengthening our community relationships,” Labonte continued.
Kennebec Savings Bank has $1.7 billion in assets and 207 employees at offices in Augusta, Farmingdale, Freeport, Waterville, Portland and Winthrop.
Augusta-based Kennebec Savings ranked No. 9 among the largest Maine-based banks in the recently published 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets as of June 30, 2024.
