There were a couple of key hires in the Maine real estate and construction world this week.
Lisa Beeler was named PC Construction's director of business-development team for the Seacoast region.
Beeler has more than two decades of experience in business development and marketing, including seven years in the architecture, engineering and construction field. She was most recently at Haley Ward Inc.
Beeler will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive business opportunities and relationships in Maine and New Hampshire.
"We are confident that Lisa’s strong relationships, solid understanding of the AEC industry and active involvement in the community will further enhance our next phase of growth in the region and provide a valuable resource for customers as they pursue their construction goals," said PC President and CEO Matt Cooke.
PC Construction, which is based in South Burlington, Vt., has a Portland office.
Wendy Cortese is set to rejoin Benchmark Real Estate in Portland.
She brings "unparalleled negotiation skills, a deep appreciation for architecture and design and a proven ability to connect with clients, making her an invaluable asset to the Benchmark team," said Tom Landry, owner of Benchmark.
In addition to working for Benchmark, Cortese has honed her sales and negotiation skills in New York City and Los Angeles.
"I joined Benchmark because I wanted a boutique Maine brokerage with a strong online presence to appeal to my clients coast to coast," she said. "It's also a major win to work with a business leader, Tom Landry, who sees the big picture in real estate sales and development, and who values staying on the forefront of important conversations about Portland's housing future."
