LA Metro Magazine adds Matt Leonard, local businessman and former president and CEO of the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, as co-owner.
The board of the LA Metro Chamber of Commerce recently decided to divest its interest in the magazine launched last year through a partnership with Jim Marston, local publisher and owner of Uncle Andy’s Digest, prompting an opportunity for new ownership investment. Leonard will assume the duties as chief visionary officer, focusing on business development, creative development and working on a vision to steer the magazine’s course into the future.
“Bringing Matt back into the fold was the right thing to do,” Marston, owner and editor-in-chief of LA Metro Magazine, said in a news release. “I see Matt as a great idea guy. He’s a celebrated veteran of the United States Navy; he’s a mover and a shaker and will help take this magazine to the next level. We both see LA Metro Magazine as what LA wants, a premier quality publication to represent it. We’re glad to have him back on the team.”
LA Metro Magazine is currently published four times a year. Its editions have focused on topics to promote the greater Lewiston Auburn region highlighting businesses, people as well as local tourism and visitor interests.
“I believe in the positive future of our communities and I am confident that LA Metro Magazine will play an important role in promoting that story and the interests that make LA such a great place to visit, play, and stay,” Leonard said.
The next edition of LA Metro Magazine will be available starting June 9 and will highlight the annual winners of Uplift LA’s 40 Under 40.
