Scarborough-based Landry/French Construction has promoted Mason Rowell to senior vice president of operations.
Rowell joined the company in 2011 as an assistant project manager. During this time, he has held several roles, including project manager, senior project manager, director of preconstruction and most recently vice president of preconstruction.
In his new role, Rowell will support operations and provide leadership from project inception through completion. He will also continue to lead the preconstruction/estimating department, ensuring continuity across all phases of project delivery.
“Our team drives our success and I’m excited to take on a larger role in supporting their efforts to deliver outstanding results for our clients and their projects,” Rowell told Mainebiz.
Rowell served as a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He received his master's in construction management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He serves on the board of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine.
“Mason’s deep experience, leadership and commitment to excellence have played a critical role in our success,” said Kevin French, CEO of Landry/French. “I’m excited to see him step into this expanded role as we continue to grow and deliver complex projects throughout the region.”
Landry/French ranks No. 3 among the largest Maine-based construction companies, according to the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists, ranked by revenues. In 2023, the firm had revenue of $166.5 million and 80 employees.
