Letter to our readers

We have a new normal within the business community for the next few weeks.

Business doesn’t take time off, and neither do we. Mainebiz's commitment to providing news and information to our business community is unwavering.

We are fortunate to be able to operate remotely — all of the Mainebiz staff is communicating, sharing files and meeting with virtual online tools. We pledge to keep the lines of communication open with our readers and our clients, and will continue to reach out to research and report on the events happening in Maine.

As news of the impact of the coronavirus evolves, Mainebiz will cover the changes. To make sure that information is available to all readers, we are dropping the paywall for related stories.

Please also keep us posted on what’s happening at your business.

Status of Mainebiz events

Since the CDC guidelines are asking us to postpone large events, we have already postponed the Portland “On the Road” networking event.

Other Mainebiz events that will be rescheduled:

  • “On the Road” Saco/Biddeford, scheduled for April 16, will be rescheduled at a date to be determined.
  • The Business Leaders of the Year reception, which was scheduled for April 28, will be rescheduled at a date to be determined. The issue announcing this year's honorees will come out, as scheduled, on March 23.

As things evolve, we will keep you posted on rescheduled events.

For your events, which are listed on the Mainebiz calendar, we are happy to edit or delete items. Let us know at editorial@mainebiz.biz or let me know directly.

Mainebiz Publisher Donna Brassard and the sales team are also available to answer any questions.

Our readers depend on us for reliable info and credible ideas — to be the filter that tells them what they need to know while screening out the junk — and we will continue to do that through this challenging time.
