Lewiston biz park approved

A new 150-acre business park in Lewiston got approved last night by the city's planning board, the Sun Journal in Lewiston reported today.

The second phase of Gendron Business Park, to be located off Exit 80, now only needs approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Developers Gendron & Gendron hope to start construction this year, the paper said.

The $68 million project is the second part of a 2003 joint development agreement between the city and the developer. The first phase, a nine-lot subdivision, currently houses FedEx and RF Technologies, among other tenants. The developer hasn't yet signed a tenant for phase two of the park, the paper said.
