Geiger, a Lewiston-based promotional products company, has continued its acquisition streak with the purchase of a Pennsylvania distributor for an undisclosed price.
In a news release Tuesday, Geiger announced the deal for Five Thousand Forms Inc., which does business as Give Me Five, and said the acquisition is part of an expansion strategy to add clients and services.
The two companies also complement each other well, Geiger President and CEO Jo-an Lantz said.
“Herb and Linda Levy, along with their family, built a firm known for excellence and customer experience,” Lantz said in the release, referring to the founders of Five Thousand Forms. “In addition, as a family-owned business, we share the same values and culture. Five Thousand Forms, Give Me Five, and Geiger are a perfect match.”
The Lewiston business, which had sales of $236 million in 2019, has grown through a series of deals over the past few years. The company purchased Freeport-based Winter People Image Marketing in 2019. Overseas, Geiger acquired two British firms in 2019 and 2020 through a subsidiary it formed in a 2018 merger. Geiger also opened a logistics office in the Netherlands to support global distribution.
Geiger’s 2019 revenue rose 12% over the 2018 total, according to the Advertising Specialty Institute, and represented a 46% surge since 2014. The company placed No. 8 in the institute’s 2020 list of the largest promotional products distributors by revenue, up from No. 10.
Founded in 1878, Geiger now is the largest family-owned and managed promotional products distributor in the world, the company says.
Five Thousand Forms is headquartered in Fogelsville, Pa., about an hour north of Philadelphia. Herb and Linda Levy began the business in 1973, and today it sells a broad range of company forms, labels, checks and envelopes, as well as customized apparel, glassware, awards and other promotional materials.
“I am thrilled to be connecting with Geiger,” Herb Levy said in the release. “I believe they best fit our values as a family-owned company and I know this partnership will give us the tools to better serve our customers in an evolving industry.”
