Lincoln natural gas project near milestone
The first part of a $7.5 million natural gas project is almost finished in the town of Lincoln, where Lincoln Paper and Tissue LLC and other businesses are expected to benefit.
The Bangor Daily News reported that the first phase of construction for Bangor Gas Co.’s pipeline will be completed in approximately two weeks. The overall project, benefiting from a tax increment financing agreement, will see pipeline going through various part of town.
The newspaper noted that town and Lincoln Paper officials have previously said the pipeline will help maintain the paper company as a competitor in the market, and will help encourage further business development in the area.
