Little Lad's to buy former golf tee factory

Little Lad's Bakery, a Corinth snack maker known for its herbal popcorn, is planning to move its production facility to the former Pride Manufacturing Co. plant in Guilford.

Little Lad's, which also has two restaurants in Portland and New York City, plans to renovate the former golf tee manufacturing facility and use it to add new products to its line of vegan snacks, according to the Bangor Daily News. Little Lad's owner Larry Fleming said he will close on the vacant property soon and that he has secured loans from two banks. The company has 12 workers in Corinth, and Fleming hopes to add an unspecified number of jobs when the plant moves to Guilford.

Pride Manufacturing in 2005 consolidated its operations in Burnham and sold the Guilford facility to American Pride LLC, which closed the facility in 2009.
