L.L.Bean moves into China

L.L.Bean announced today it will open its first store in China at a Beijing mall.

The store will be located in the Solana Mall in Chaoyang Park and will be the first of five stores opened under a joint venture agreement between L.L. Bean and South Korea-based Youngone Corp., according to a press release from the Freeport outdoor retailer.

Youngone Corp. produces outdoor sportswear, shoes and backpacks, and supplies brand name equipment from companies such as The North Face, according to its company profile on Google Finance. The company has annual sales of $800 million, according to The Economic Times.
