Maine Family Federal Credit Union has appointed Andrew McGeorge as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
McGeorge has extensive experience in credit unions and financial services. Most recently, he served as CFO of Service Federal Credit Union of Portsmouth, N.H., and he formerly was vice chair of the CUNA Finance Council.
“I am excited to return to the credit union industry and I am looking forward to serving our members and the greater Lewiston-Auburn community. I know Maine Family FCU will play an important role in the ongoing economic vitality of Androscoggin County, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that,” said McGeorge.
McGeorge earned his bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a chartered financial analyst.
“The community has been so inviting and kind to me since I arrived and I hope that they extend that same welcome to Andrew. I know he will bring great perspective and value to the Maine Family FCU and our members," said CEO Dan Clarke, who joined the credit union in December 2022.
Lewiston-based Maine Family Federal Credit Union serves more than 18,000 members throughout Androscoggin County. The credit union has branches in Lewiston and Auburn and has served the county since 1938.
Maine Family ranks No. 16 among the largest Maine-based credit unions, according to the 2023 Mainebiz Book of Lists. That ranking is based on the credit union's assets of $256 million as of Sept. 30, 2022.
