Maine Metal Buildings Inc. is replacing its former headquarters at 625 Main St. in Gorham with a new 9,000-square-foot structure designed to both support future growth and to house several tenants.

“This new headquarters is a testament to our company’s tremendous growth since we started in 2016,” said Tom Morton, the company's founder and co-owner. “This project is integral to our continued excellence in metal building construction for years to come.”

Maine Metal Buildings will occupy 3,000 square feet of the new facility and the remaining space will be divided into four commercial units of 1,500-square-feet each, available for lease. The former headquarters was razed to make way for the new building.

Gorham-based Great Falls Construction will serve as general contractor, Ryan Senatore Architecture of Portland, is handling design, and BH2M of Gorham is the project’s civil engineer.

Maine Metal Buildings is owned and managed by the husband and wife team of Tom and Roberta Morton and has nine full-time employees. The company operates throughout Maine and nationally, with projects in New Hampshire, Virginia and Wisconsin, and is set to begin construction on its largest project yet, a 106,000-square-foot facility in Brunswick.
