Maine Oxy announces merger with Presque Isle company
Maine Oxy, the Auburn-based supplier of welding supplies, industrial and specialty gases, announced that it has merged with Lynox Welding Supply & Cleaning Systems of Presque Isle.
Financial details of the merger were not disclosed.
Under the terms of the merger, Maine Oxy will continue to operate in all of its current locations, including the Lynox locations in Presque Isle, Hermon and Portland, under the Maine Oxy name.
According to a release from Maine Oxy, the merger will bring the total number of employees to more than 200.
“Both companies have considerable talent and experience in all areas of the industry,” said Gene Lynch, Lynox president, in a prepared statement. “Going forward, we are confident this partnership will allow us to better serve all our customers.”
