Maine Savings Federal Credit Union has hired Stacey Young as senior vice president of member experience.
Young has worked for more than 20 years in the banking and credit union fields. She most recently was a senior registered client associate at RBC Wealth Management.
She worked at University Credit Union for more than 10 years, starting as branch manager of its Bangor office, progressing to vice president of member services and actively participating in senior leadership roles.
“We are thrilled to have Stacey join our team,” said Marcel Blais, chief experience officer at Maine Savings. “Her extensive experience in the banking and credit union industry, leadership skills, and community commitment make her the perfect fit for this role.”
The Bangor resident is a graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute and the Certified Credit Union Executive CUNA Management School. She has served on many civic committees and boards and has experience in marketing, human resources, lending and compliance.
“I look forward to helping Maine Savings continue to grow and serve the community,” said Young.
Maine Savings was founded in 1961. It has more than 35,000 members, 140 employees and branches in Bangor, Bar Harbor, Brewer, Corinth, Ellsworth, Hampden, Milo, North Vassalboro, Old Town and Portland.
Maine Savings was ranked No. 2 among the largest Maine-based credit unions in the 2024 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on $697.1 million in total assets as of Sept. 30, 2023.
