Timothy Doyle, an Army veteran, has joined New England Business Media, the parent company of Mainebiz, to lead research activities at the magazine and its three affiliated publications.
As NEBM's lead researcher, Doyle will oversee compilation of all lists published by the company. In total, the research department puts out 250 lists annually at Mainebiz, the Worcester Business Journal, Hartford Business Journal and New HavenBiz, requiring coordination with more than 3,000 companies. Doyle replaces Stephanie Meagher, who led the research effort for more than four years.
“We are extremely fortunate we found that needle in the haystack in Timothy Doyle,” Worcester Business Journal Editor Brad Kane said. “Timothy pairs strong and meticulous organizational skills with a friendly and engaging personality to really be all we could hope for in a lead researcher.”
Doyle said, “I'm excited to be working with this fantastic team at New England Business Media. I look forward to using my skills to help inform these important business communities around New England.”
Before joining NEBM, Doyle worked at auction startup Everything But The House, handling client relations and working with estates. Previously, he worked at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
Doyle, who lives in Massachusetts, is an artist himself, specializing in oil paintings of architecture and cityscapes. His works have been displayed at ArtsWorcester and Sprinkler Factory. In 2014, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Arizona.
From 2009 to 2011, Doyle served as a human intelligence collector for the U.S. Army, and he was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
