MaineHealth has hired a trio of new physicians to join Maine Medical Partners in the pediatric, urology and women's health departments.
Jeffrey Howard has joined Maine Medical Partners' urology department in South Portland. He has published articles about kidney, prostate, bladder and testicular cancer. He also has an interest in improving surgical quality and the surgical process.
The Washington, D.C., native attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he completed a dual degree. He then completed residency training at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and a fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Elizabeth Linnell will practice at the Women's Health Division
of General Obstetrics and Gynecology in Portland and Maine Medical Center.
Before this position, she practiced as an attending physician in the obstetrics and gynecology department at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center-Women's Health Associates in Lewiston. In addition, she has been a clinical instructor at the Tufts University School of Medicine for over 10 years.
Linnell completed her medical training at Albany Medical College in New York and her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Maine Medical Center in 2008.
Meredith Baker joined Portland's Maine Medical Partners pediatric surgery department.
Baker was a clinical fellow in pediatric surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She completed her residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She completed medical training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio.
