Maine’s fifth ‘green’ Dunkin’ Donuts coming to Oxford

Maine’s love affair with Dunkin’ Donuts continues unabated, as franchise owners Frank Minigell and Robert Seavey have announced another Dunkin’ location is on its way to Oxford.

But this isn’t just any old franchise location — the new Dunkin’ will be one of five Maine “green” stores that focus on sustainable practices.

In addition to featuring the usual accoutrements of a Dunkin’ location like coffee, baked goods and Wi-Fi, the Oxford location will include energy-efficient LED light fixtures, mechanical units and water-saving plumbing fixtures, indoor air quality management and the use of zero volatile organic compound paints, as part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ DD Green Achievement program.

The sustainability-minded 504 Main St. location is slated to open its doors on Saturday, May 7, according to a release.
