Marina could be coming to Portland's eastern waterfront

CPB2, the Portland-based development firm that plans to convert the former Portland Co. complex along the city’s eastern waterfront into mixed-used properties, said it hopes to build an expansive marina as part of the development.

The Portland Press Herald spoke to James Brady, a principal with CPB2, about the plans for the marina, which would approximately double the size of the current marina along the waterfront and add restrooms, laundry facilities and additional parking.

The Press Herald reported that the expanded marina plan comes at a time when area marinas are experiencing somewhat of a boom as Portland gains a reputation as a tourist hotspot and the economy continues to improve.
