Mass. company buys S. Portland engineering firm
The Burlington, Mass.-based Fay, Spofford & Thorndike Inc. has acquired DeLuca Hoffman Associates Inc., based in South Portland. The terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition is FST's first expansion into Maine. It now has eight locations throughout the Northeast.
DeLuca Hoffman, founded in 1986 and now with 22 employees, will operate under the FST brand at its office at 778 Main St. in South Portland.
Both companies specialize in civil engineering, transportation planning and environmental consulting.
