Like many business organizations, the Maine Real Estate & Development Association is rescheduling events and happenings as the public health crisis continues.
The association said Friday it has postponed its 35th anniversary gala — for the second time — to Nov. 5. The event had been slated for June 25, after originally being planned for March 26.
MEREDA planned to hold the event at the Ocean Gateway Terminal, in Portland. A news release did not specify a venue for the November gathering.
In addition, the group said two of its May events, the Strikes for Scholars Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser and the Annual Spring Conference, will both be held in September. The “spring” conference is now scheduled for Sept. 3, and the fundraiser will take place Sept. 16.
MEREDA plans to release details about all three events as their new dates approach. Ticket holders for any previously scheduled events are asked to contact info@mereda.org for a refund or credit towards the rescheduled date.
“In the meantime, we are looking at ways to keep our members up-to-date on evolving real estate and development events in light of the changing economic landscape by offering virtual events,” Shelly R. Clark, vice president of operations, said in the release. “Be watching for information to come on these soon.”
