Milo display-maker acquires Atlanta firm

Milo-based JSI Store Fixtures announced yesterday it has completed the acquisition of KMP Fixtures of Atlanta and Chicago.

The acquisition of KMP strengthens JSI's position as one of the largest wood merchandising fixture manufacturers in the United States, according to a press release. KMP Fixtures is a longtime fixture supplier to the retail equipment industry, and the acquisition will allow JSI to expand its product lines to include pastry cases, refrigerated orchard bins and wine department storage. It will also extend its distribution and customer service reach in the Southeast and Midwest. Dan Cassier, KMP's president, will join JSI's management team as director of design.

JSI was founded in 1991 and primarily supplies supermarket chains, including Hannaford Bros. Co., with floral, bakery, grocery and other custom store displays.
