MRRA creates design review board for Brunswick Landing

The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority, which oversees the redevelopment of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station and the former Navy Annex in Topsham, has formed an ad hoc design review board to meet as needed to review development proposals and consider them against the Brunswick Landing and Topsham Commerce Park Community Design Guidelines.

MRRA Executive Director Steve Levesque told the Bangor Daily News the guidelines were developed by architectural firm WBRC in conjunction with MRRA and the towns to align with master plans developed for the reuse of the former Navy property.

The guidelines include a focus on sustainability, including such principles as green energy and infrastructure, renewable energy and a mix of land uses, the newspaper reported.
