Neuman resigns DECD post
Deb Neuman, deputy commissioner of the state's Department of Economic and Community Development, will resign as of Friday.
DECD spokesman Doug Ray told the Bangor Daily News that Neuman plans to pursue interests closer to her home in Bangor.
Neuman, host of a radio show called "Back to Business" on WVOM, told the BDN that serving at the DECD from July 2011 to the end of this week was "an honor and privilege."
Ray told the BDN that a replacement has not yet been chosen and that Neuman's duties overseeing a team that handles regulatory questions and issues from Maine businesses would be handled by senior staff in the meantime.
