InterMed in Portland hired Sadie Carter, Todd Severson and Jeanine Ward as board-certified emergency medicine physicians at its Urgent Care in South Portland.
HM Payson, a Portland financial advising firm, hired Colin Greening as a portfolio manager in the firm’s financial planning and investment groups and Camille White as a relationship manager in the firm’s financial planning group. Caron has 25 years of experience in higher education serving in a range of senior leadership roles at institutions including Johns Hopkins University, Northeastern University, Brown University and Excelsior University.
FocusMaine in Portland hired Joanna Benoit as finance, grants and administration manager. Benoit was most recently with Maine’s Office of Behavioral Health.
MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington hired Kyle Curtis as an anesthesiologist. Most recently Curtis was with the U.S. Army at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, N.C.
Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine in Auburn named its new executive committee including Scott Maker, WoodworthMaker LLC, chair; Kate Rush, Androscoggin Bank, vice chair; Peter Richardson, treasurer; and Mary Wright, secretary. The organization also added Phil Licari, entrepreneur-in-residence, Roux Institute; Whitney Gould-Cookson, clinical dietitian, Northern Light Mayo Hospital; Chris Bonacci, vice president, marketing, Ethos|VONT; Susan Norton, executive vice president/chief administrative officer, First National Bank; and Christine Cummings, executive director, Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association, to its board.

The Maine Press Association announced that Naomi Schalit, John Christie and Larry Mahoney will be inducted into its Hall of Fame. Schalit and Christie founded the Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting while Mahoney has been the face of sports at the Bangor Daily News for more than 50 years.
Synergy Workforce Solutions, in partnership with the Manufacturers Association of Maine, announced that for the first time Maine high school students will make up the first U.S. team to participate in the Brilliant Blue Challenge in Nova Scotia, Canada, in October. The challenge encourages participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems, as they relate to the Blue Economy.
