Oxford casino seeks expansion
The Maine gambling board is scheduled today to consider an expansion for the Oxford Casino, which opened earlier this summer.
The Associated Press reported that the casino hopes to add 10 table games and hundreds more slot machines in October. Currently, the casino has 529 slot machines and 12 table games.
In August, the casino reported nearly $10 million in revenue over its first two months in operation. The Maine Gambling Control Board reported the state has received around $4.1 million in taxes from the new casino.
