Albin, Randall & Bennett, a certified public accounting and business advisory firm in Portland, has promoted 14 staff members, including five in leadership positions.
Matthew Marcoullier has been promoted to director. He joined Albin, Randall & Bennett in 2013 and focuses on financial accounting and consulting for auto dealerships and commercial businesses. The Scarborough resident received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting and his master’s in accounting from the University of Maine. He is also a certified public accountant.
Amy Gardella has been promoted to senior manager. She joined the firm in 2018 and provides audit and attest services to a wide array of businesses, including automotive dealerships, construction companies, commercial entities and employee benefit plans. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an assurance senior associate at a large international firm for five years. Gardella received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Ohio University.
Nate Marcet was promoted to senior tax manager. Marcet joined in 2023 and works with clients in the professional services, real estate and construction industries. He has extensive experience in multistate income tax compliance, business acquisitions and sales, specialized real estate transactions and historic tax credit consulting. Prior to joining the firm, Marcet spent eight years at a large, regional CPA firm in Portland. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration and an MBA from the University of Southern Maine.
Benjamin Staples has been promoted to tax manager. He joined the firm in 2023 and focuses on providing tax compliance and consulting services to pass-through entities and clients in the automotive dealership industry. Prior to joining the firm, he spent the beginning of his career at a large regional firm located in Portland. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his MBA from Husson University.
Tori Vergara has been promoted to tax manager. She joined the firm in 2021 and provides tax and consulting services to automotive dealerships, individuals, and private foundations. Prior to joining Albin, Randall, she worked at EY (Ernst & Young Global) for five years in Salt Lake City, specializing in expatriate taxation. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Utah.
