Prominent family biz sold

Vaughn Thibodeau & Sons, a contractor in Bangor, was purchased by its vice president of operations and his wife on Oct. 3, according to the Bangor Daily News.

David and Lynn Lakeman of Holden plan to retain the company's approximately 170 employees and name. Thibodeau & Sons has been in operation for more than 30 years, according to the company's website. The company performs more than $35 million of site work annually.

Thibodeau is providing site, asphalt and concrete work for the Hollywood Slots at Bangor project and at Cianbro's Eastern Manufacturing Facility in Brewer, according to the paper.
