Robert Baldacci forms new company
Robert Baldacci, Governor John Baldacci's brother, has formed a new real estate development company called Baldacci Group in Portland, specializing in real estate development, investment and consulting.
Previously, as vice president of Portsmouth-based Ocean Properties Ltd., Baldacci oversaw condo and hotel expansions and assisted with hotel acquisitions throughout North America, according to a press release. Last year, Ocean Properties lost a $100 million bid to redevelop the Maine State Pier to Portland developer The Olympia Cos.
Baldacci said he has experience in residential, commercial and timeshare resorts locally, nationally and in Ireland. Prior to his tenure with Ocean Properties, Baldacci was managing director of Pierce Atwood Consulting and also founding board chair of the Finance Authority of Maine.
