SaviLinx LLC, a call-service company based at Brunswick Landing with about 1,000 combined employees in Maine, Mississippi, and Massachusetts, is looking to add hundreds of seasonal workers to fulfill a new federal contract.
The company, led by founder and CEO Heather Blease, said Tuesday that it needs seasonal workers in Maine and Mississippi in relation to the contract, which entails helping military members and their families enroll in health insurance during open enrollment season.
The company said this marks the seventh year it has been contracted for that purpose.
“Our team works closely with our partners to help military members enroll in the health insurance program of their choice. This is a wonderful opportunity to join us in helping people,” said Blease, a 2021 Mainebiz Woman to Watch.
“These positions are perfect for people seeking seasonal work, for those interested in a meaningful role in customer service, and for those who want to work from home," she added.
While SaviLinx did not specify the number of openings it is looking to fill, a spokesperson told Mainebiz the company is looking to hire hundreds.
In Tuesday's announcement, SaviLinx said in both Maine and Mississippi it is looking for customer service agents and quality assurance specialists.
The positions range in length up to three months with the potential to convert to full-time, year-round positions. SaviLinx is also hiring agents to serve other contracts including in technical support and benefits enrollment.
SaviLinx said that candidates are required to be near one of one of the company's centers in Maine or Hattiesburg, Miss., where it expanded a few years ago. In Maine, SaviLinx centers are located in Brunswick and Caribou.
Agents and specialists undergo training in SaviLinx offices and can then work from home, according to the company, which also said that it provides all equipment and training.
