SaviLinx, a Brunswick-based telemarketing firm, has named a former WEX executive as its chief financial officer.
Michael (Micky) Thomas will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of SaviLinx, "bringing a wealth of experience and strategic financial leadership to the executive team," the firm said.
Thomas most recently served as senior vice president and treasurer at the Portland-based fintech company WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX).
Founded by Heather Blease in 2013, SaviLinx is a woman-owned, HUBZone-certified business. The firm has other contact centers in Caribou; Lawrence, Mass.; and Hattiesburg, Miss.
SaviLinx plans to open a contact center in Phoenix early next year.
SaviLinx was recently named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies — the company's seventh straight year on the list.
In addition to his WEX experience, Thomas has held financial management roles at energy companies, including Central Maine Power Co. and Maine Yankee Atomic Power Co., according to his LinkedIn profile.
SaviLinx cited his "ability to drive greater financial rigor, transparency and decision-making support at companies undergoing rapid growth and transformation."
The firm also lauded Thomas's skill in engaging with finance teams, boards of directors, outside advisors, banks, rating agencies and investors.
“His extensive financial expertise and strategic vision will be invaluable as we navigate the dynamic landscape of the contact center industry and continue to grow," said Blease, who was a 2021 Mainebiz Woman to Watch.
Thomas is a 1981 graduate of Bowdoin College, according to his LinkedIn profile.
SaviLinx is based at Brunswick Landing. It provides contact center solutions and a diverse portfolio of other business processing services to federal, state and commercial clients nationwide.
