A draft of Scarborough's vision for economic development is available for public review and comment, a necessary step in its adoption, according to Scarborough development officials.
The draft, a year-long collaboration between the Scarborough Economic Development Corp. and the Scarborough Community Chamber, outlines 10 key areas that would position the city for future growth and business investment. The document lays out goals for planning, marketing, green initiatives, zoning, regional collaboration, the cost of doing business, infrastructure, education and quality of life.
Public comment sessions have been scheduled for 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Nov. 16 at town hall, and from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 17, also at town hall, according to a release from the town. View the draft here.
