Plans for a bowling alley and entertainment complex have been filed in the Portland Planning Division for 58 Alder St., the current home of Skillful Vending Inc.
The plans, submitted by Bowl Portland LLC and represented by Justin Alfond and Charles Mitchell, call for the conversion of the existing two-story brick building and attached warehouse into a 12-lane, 10-pin bowling center, with a 50-seat restaurant/bar and a stage for live music. The second floor will be office space, according to the plans. A call to Justin Alfond was not returned by deadline.
A call placed to Skillful Vending, which provides home recreation products and furniture, also was not returned by deadline, but the company's Skillful Home Recreation website advertises a moving sale from Oct. 22 through Oct. 25.
A hearing on the bowling alley proposal is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in council chambers in city hall.
