While most counties saw an increase in home sales over the first quarter last year— with Aroostook showing the largest increase at 30.77% — Somerset and Washington counties dipped by 7.14% and 6.06%, respectively.

For changes in median sales price, counties were evenly split between increases and decreases. Knox County had the largest increase, at 23.87% to $192,000, while Sagadahoc County had the largest decrease, at 19.79% to $146,750.
