Sugarloaf’s official real estate agency on Monday reported a 17% increase for sales in Carrabassett Valley last year.
Mountainside Real Estate closed on 95 transactions in 2014, totaling $12.3 million in sales volume, the agency said in its announcement. There were a total of 146 transactions in Carrabassett Valley.

The agency said the sales growth also was fueled by new construction, with four single-family homes built in the Timberline Lodges development. More construction is slated for the area.
