SymQuest, a managed IT services company in Lewiston, has awarded a total of $30,000 in office technology to two Lewiston nonprofits as part of the company's annual office makeover program.
The company announced this week that it has awarded $25,000 to New Beginnings, a nonprofit serving homeless families and youth. SeniorsPlus, a nonprofit serving local seniors and adults with disabilities, received $5,000 from SymQuest.
The funds awarded as part of the company's SymPowered Extreme Office Makeover have typically been used to add new workstations, servers and multi-function copiers.
“SymQuest’s support comes at an excellent time — it allows us to focus on developing our programming rather than on our technology,” Bob Rowe, executive director of New Beginnings, said in a prepared statement. “We can really concentrate on the young people that come to us from across the state.”
Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that SymQuest is located in Auburn. The company moved from Auburn to Lewiston last year.
