Thomas College is expanding its offerings to include an online bachelor’s degree for working professionals.
The college said in a prepared release that the new online bachelor of science in business management program is designed for working professionals with some college credit who have yet to complete their degrees.
The courses are designed to help students develop the skills employers seek in today’s business world, the Waterville college said. The program will be delivered in eight-week modules.
The online program is scheduled to begin in August 2025 and program leaders are now accepting applications.
“Nearly 40% of students in the United States start college but do not complete their degree,” said Thomas Edwards, the college's provost.
“Thomas College wants to give these people an opportunity to complete their degree while removing some of the barriers they may have as working adults with families and other responsibilities," Edwards continued. "Thomas College believes in access to education to help build and educate the Maine workforce. This program is a great example of that work.”
