Two Portland-based accounting firms, BerryDunn and Baker Newman Noyes, represented Maine in the annual list of the “Top 100 Public Accounting Firms” by industry publication INSIDE Public Accounting.
Since 2010, the IPA Top 100 has ranked accounting firms by net revenue, starting with the Big 4, followed by the top 96 national, regional and local accounting firms in the country.
BerryDunn came in at No. 66, rising one spot from the 2015 ranking, while Baker Newman Noyes ranked at No. 94, the first time the accounting firm has cracked the Top 100 rankings.
BerryDunn and Baker Newman Noyes are Maine’s two largest accounting firms, respectively, based on the number of CPAs in the state, according to the Mainebiz Book of Lists.
One other Maine-based firm made IPA’s rankings. South Portland-based Macpage LLC, Maine’s third-largest accounting firm, made the IPA Top 300 at No. 233.
