Scarborough-based Without A Trace Mobile Shredding business, owned and operated by Brad Manter, has been acquired by Shredding On Site, a Bangor-based provider of secure document shredding and destructive services.
The acquisition provides Shredding On Site and its operating company Records Management Center expanded access to the Greater Portland market, providing an experienced staff and new shredding equipment.
“We are excited and proud to uphold the excellent relationships Without A Trace developed over the years with businesses, organizations, and people throughout southern Maine and New Hampshire,” said Ryan Lynch, vice president of Shredding On Site and Records Management Center.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal was prompted by the retirement of Without A Trace Mobile Shredding owner Manter, who operated the business for 18 years.
“I am very pleased that this change has come together,” said Manter. “I sought to ensure my customers would be well taken care of, and Shredding On Site is just the kind of Maine-based company to do this.”
Shredding On Site owner Ryan Lynch has committed to retaining all of Without A Trace employees and service schedules for customers. Manter will act in an advisory role during the transition.
Shredding On Site and Records Management Center have done business in northern New England for nearly 30 years.
