With dramatic increase in enrollment, UMaine Presque Isle will host two graduation ceremonies

The University of Maine at Presque Isle has seen its student population grow dramatically over the past few years, due in large part to the YourPace online program.

YourPace enrollment has doubled year-over-year for the past five years, tripling the school’s overall enrollment, and making UMPI the biggest driver of enrollment growth for the University of Maine system.

This year the number of graduates will top 1,000, more than double the senior class of 2024. Total student enrollment this year is 2,504.

For the first time in the college’s history, it will host two graduation ceremonies — one in the morning and one in the afternoon on May 10.
