York motel manager faces drug trafficking charge
The manager of the Sea Turn Motel in York Beach was charged with unlawful trafficking after police discovered more than $22,000 worth of marijuana on the property.
The York County Coast Star reported that Cedar R. Gordon, 40, and one other individual, William F. Burke, 46, were charged on Tuesday. The two reside at the motel on 55 Long Beach Ave., according to a statement from police.
After executing a search warrant based on previous narcotics sales from the same property, police also discovered hashish, various prescription medication pills and growing equipment, among other items, the newspaper noted.
Gordon has been released on $500 cash bail, with an Aug. 20 court date.
