York startup to hire 50 part-timers

A startup company based in York expects to hire between 40 and 60 people for seasonal jobs to accommodate tourists who are eager to start their vacations without any prep work.

Vacationland Concierge President Heather Caldwell told Seacoast Online that she is preparing to make 100 deliveries a day in southern Maine alone once the tourist season is in full swing. Caldwell's company offers concierge services to vacationers, including fully stocking refrigerators, renting specialty equipment and delivering tickets. Later this year, Caldwell said she plans to expand her business to serve clientele of ski resorts.

Caldwell told the online newspaper that expects teachers and students will be interested in the part-time positions.
