The Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol has heightened concerns about workplace safety and the use of guns. Members of Congress, aides and staffers now have to pass through metal detectors to enter the floor of the House of Representatives, a requirement some view as invasive but others say is a necessary security measure.
Capitol rules have long forbidden congressional representatives from possessing firearms anywhere but their offices, but members never before have undergone physical screening at the doors of the House.
Meanwhile, some lawmakers are buying bulletproof vests, whose costs are reimbursable as a business expense.
Maine allows adults to publicly carry guns without a permit. However, many employers don't allow them on company premises.

There are employees in my organization that I would not trust to use a fire extinguisher during a crisis let alone a firearm!
How can you NOT ban guns in the workplace - this is insane.
I'm a big fan of individuals exercising their 2nd amendment rights.
