    My company had a mandatory tedious hour long computer based training session to prevent people from opening suspicious emails. They then frequently sent you phishing emails to see if you were stupid enough to open them. If you did, you had to take that training session over again.

    I was running IT for the division of a defense contractor (not in Maine) where we did find a server compromised in 2005, and the FBI thought it was China. No attempt at ransom - this was simple espionage.
