Mass vaccination sites began opening two months ago, in Scarborough and Bangor, and many clinics, pharmacies and other sites are now inoculating Mainers. The timetable for administering vaccines has also been speeding up.

By Sunday, more than 584,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been administered in Maine, according to the office of Gov. Janet Mills. Roughly 220,000 Mainers have received their final dose of a vaccine.

    There is no way I am taking this vaccine. I do not want to be part of a drug trial and there are still too many unanswered questions concerning this thing. Until all of the questions are answered I hope that parents of older teens and women of child baring age will do a lot of research before taking this vaccine. Please do your homework and listen to all sides as the truth lies in the middle.

    I had expected more delays and confusion than I actually encountered when signing up for the vaccination. I was happy to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
