With the COVID-19 vaccine being rolled out, companies and organizations are increasingly facing the question of how to guide employees. Some have offered paid time off to get vaccinated, while at least one bank has offered to pay employees $500 to get vaccinated. But still others may worry about potential liability of requiring employees to get vaccinated.
That was a "no" vote. But all are already vaccinated on each's own volition.
We will encourage employees to get the vaccine, but we cannot legally require them to get vaccinated.
Everyone on our staff supports being vaccinated and having family members vaccinated-- especially with the vaccine having been proven safe after so many millions of shots. We have found that most staff only wish to return to an office where everyone is vaccinated, so anyone who is not will continue to work remotely. Our biggest concern is whether these vaccines like the flu shot will need to be annual, and how we will ensure staff safety.
