Now celebrating 10 years of service to Maine business, Building Controls, LLC, is a professional low-voltage contracting company that provides electronic security systems for residential, small- and mid-size commercial, industrial, and health care clients. We bring an integrated approach, the most advanced technology, and a personal touch to all the work we do.
David Gideon founded Building Controls in 2009, and leads the company today. Dave is an electronic security professional with over 30 years of industry experience. He holds a master’s low-energy electrician license from the state of Maine, as well as degrees in electronics engineering technology and fire science technology. He is certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems/Level III, has trained with numerous industry-leading manufacturers, and has completed education in the National Fire Protection Association’s Life Safety Code (NFPA-101) and the National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code (NFPA-72).
Building Controls offers all the electronic security solutions you might expect from a larger company. We’re a single, comprehensive resource for Maine businesses, whether they require the protection of 24-hour central monitoring, closed circuit TV, door entry controls and intercom systems, nurse call systems, environmental condition monitoring, or other tools to meet an organization’s unique challenges.
Dave takes a direct role in understanding and analyzing your needs, and is personally involved in all aspects of your project, from concept, to design and installation, to testing and training.
Just as importantly, Building Controls understands the need for these tools to communicate; a camera alone is not a security system. By harnessing the latest digital technology, we bring together input from every facet of your building security, put the information at your fingertips, and provide peace of mind.
That assurance begins with our people. Dave takes a direct role in understanding and analyzing your needs, and is personally involved in all aspects of your project, from concept, to design and installation, to testing and training. Because of this continuity, you can be confident your security system will be tailored to your needs. Our goal is to be your partner, not merely your vendor, and to provide solutions that simplify, not complicate.
We have chosen to work with some of the most trusted companies in security today, many of whom manufacture products in the United States. Our industry partners include:
